Saab's owner, Swedish Automobile, said on Monday it is discussions with a bank in China and Chinese automaker Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile over a rescue deal for Saab. Reports had said on Sunday that the Bank of China would replace China's Pang Da as an investor in Saab, which is under bankruptcy protection. Swedish Automobile confirmed Monday that it is talking with Youngman and a bank in China about an equity interest, but did not name the bank.
The new Ford Focus ST teased
The facelift for the Ford ST facelift has started, with Ford releasing a single image (above) of the new ST which will be on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week, taking to the Goodwood Hillclimb in the ‘First Glance’ category. The basic facelift fodder for the new ST is what we saw earlier this year when the rest of the Focus range got a facelift, with a few new panels, bumpers, grill and lights marking out the old from the new. Ford is being coy about any power updates for the new ST, but it seems likely it will stick with the same 247bhp 2.0 litre as the current model and the same output.

UPDATED: BMW has just released video of a partially disguised X1 testing in Majorca
BMW has released four teaser shots of its forthcoming X1 on a Facebook page dedicated to the mini-SUV. The X1 won't be officially unveiled until the Frankfurt motor show in September 2009, but BMW has been cranking up the publicity machine for its new 4x4 since a concept X1 was shown at Paris last year. CAR's Georg Kacher drove a prototype X1 earlier this year (CAR, May 2009) and in the past few days BMW has also released official shots of the car clad in the company's infamous psychedelic disguise.
